Welcome to my personal home page! I am a Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, a member of the General Algebra and Theoretical Computer Science group and the sc:ala research centre. My research interests are in semigroups and similar structures with an associative multiplication, with emphasis on: combinatorial semigroup theory, semigroup varieties, and algebraic aspects of formal languages. More recently I have developed a taste for the combinatorics of homogeneous structures and the study of their automorphism groups and endomorphism monoids.
