- Semigroups and other structures with an
associative multiplication (such as semirings and associative rings),
with emphasis on their universal-algebraic aspects: finite basis
problems, various algorithmic questions, lattices of varieties, free
spectra, etc.
- Applications of equational logic in
theoretical computer science.
